Selling in the New Economy-Lessons Learned?

 

It is no secret that the current economy has posed a number of challenges to businesses.  How can your company meet these challenges and successfully build sales?  Attend the next Southern New England Entrepreneurs Forum (SNEEF), on Thursday, March 13, 5:30-8:00 p.m., Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Center, 151 Martine Street, Fall River, where three panelists will discuss how they have been successful in building their sales despite the economy.

Moderator will be Don Saracen, president of SARACEN Sales and Communications and author of the new book SELLING: It’s Personal, 49 Tips to Outsell the Competition.  Saracen is President of the New England Chapter of the National Speakers Association, holds the ACG Advanced Communicator Gold designation from Toastmasters International and is a recognized content expert.

 

Saracen collaborates with businesses, professionals

dand trade associations to improve their sales, interpersonal communication and leadership skills.  He uses stories, real life experiences and examples to teach and inspire his audience to take action.Saracen has more than 30 years of experience in senior management positions with regional, national and multinational corporations.

Dave Smithave Smith, CEO & Founder of Factory Five Racing www.factoryfive.com, the world’s largest manufacturer of kit and replica cars, will discuss how he built a company whose customers are his only sales force. Dave started the company and has been the President and CEO since 1995.  He is the energetic leader of the team at Factory Five, and is a car guy’s car guy.  Dave has raced Factory Five cars for 17 years, rides motorcycles, surfs year-round in New England (in the snow), and owns a car collection that includes every Factory Five model, Porsches, and a 1968 VW bus!  Dave is a hands-on leader and loves the fact that Factory Five, and the cars they build, make a real difference in people’s lives.  He was a certified quality engineer and director of Operations for a So Cal medical company before starting Factory Five. Dave earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin in 1986.

 

Steven Pettigrew

Steven Pettigrew, Vice President of Sales, DeWolf Chemical, www.dewolfchem.com, based in Warwick, RI.  The company’s primary focus is Personal Care and Homecare.  During his tenure, sales have experienced double digit annual growth, stemming from his ability to foster bottom line growth and team building.  The company is now part of the Koda Distribution Group, presently the largest specialty chemical distributor in North America.
